Reshet and NSPCC Safeguarding Training

Twenty participants took part in Reshet’s Safeguarding Training for Trainers, which was facilitated by NSPCC.  The participants came from Manchester and across London, from different parts of the entire community to learn together at the two day course.

Reshet Exec Director asked to join National Safeguarding Youth Forum

Shelley Marsh, Reshet’s Executive Director, has been formally invited to join the National Safeguarding Youth Forum. The Forum is organised by The National Council for Voluntary Youth Services and meet quarterly to discuss legislative changes and other essential safeguarding information. Reshet, via Shelley, will disseminate this information to further support the work of the network of Jewish Youth Provision. Shelley holds an MA in Community Leadership and is a qualified Youth and Community Worker and will bring over 30 years’ experience to the group.

When Shelley asked me to write a blog about what it feels like to receive an OBE, I cringed. I cringed in the same way I do when my mother tells whoever she meets that her son got an OBE – be it the gardener, the stranger at the bus stop, or worse, people she’s already told, twice!
