For JWA safeguarding has always been at the heart of what we do. It is too important to our work to be anything less than ‘great’! We are a frontline service with some very high risk clients and any phone call we pick up could be a potential safeguarding case. Our entire team is trained in safeguarding, even those who do not carry out face-to-face work and every volunteer is trained with information relevant to their role and supported through any cases that arise. For us, the process is never finished as even the most experienced workers must keep up-to-date with changes and complete refresher courses regularly ensuring that we always maintain the very highest standard for the women and children we support.
